Organization development
Organization development is first and most to identify the company's current strengths, weaknesses and opportunities and through intense focus on those develop new opportunities. Through analysis of the Organization structure it may provide basis for further focused development. 
Organization development in a globalized world, is primarily, first and most, about looking at the hard facts of the organization structure and competence, but also on any performance and efficiency within the company that might be improved through developing its employees. 
 
Organizational development together with strategic development is often associated with the business leader own management development and any organizational development will therefore often begin by evaluating the managers attitudes and management style before further development and change. An effective organizational development will therefore also act to define the responsibilities of managers and assume priority for the planning and management of focus areas to ensure a strong organization. 
 
A companies success is often measured on what is left at the bottom line and the sales department is often the primary factor in the creation of this result. Building the right sales structure is therefore an important and often overlooked factor. Today, a sales force will often not consist of the classic model with a few sellers and a sales manager but more and more go in the direction of having different sales profiles in the same organization. 
 
It is therefore important that the company not only provide their sales organization with noble titles and thus this believes that that the sales organization now can work effectively. Often, we see that businesses use Account Manager, Key Account Manager and Business Development Managers in a way that not stand with what these job titles should contain and they are therefore often used without real substance. 
 
For manufacturing companies building a proper organization is also essential because if production does not provide an effective output it will not be able to meet demands. A coordination and close cooperation with the sales organization is therefore required so that the company always has the right products and quantities available towards the customers and end users.
 
A greater focus on creating value and shared visions within the company is also one of the focus areas that have to be taken into account in organizational development and carefully consider on how employees is motivated and are involved in changes in a constructive way must be taken.
